The Sacrament of Reconciliation is available every Saturday between 3:40 – 4:45 p.m. or can also be celebrated by making an appointment with our parish priest.
The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated during the Sunday Eucharist throughout the year, with the exception of Lent and the summer months. Generally, couples who seek baptism for their children are invited to Baptismal Formation sessions prior to the date of the baptism. These gatherings are opportunities for parents to reflect on and renew their own faith commitment, to strengthen the bond with the faith community, and to grow in understanding of the sacrament of baptism.
The Sacrament of First Eucharist is celebrated with children who are in grade two. Preparation for this sacrament occurs in the Catholic schools, and in the parish, for children who do not attend the Catholic schools or who are in grades older than grade two.
The Sacrament of Confirmation is celebrated with youth who are in grade six. Preparation for this sacrament occurs in the Catholic schools as well as in the parish.
The Sacrament of Marriage is planned at least six months in advance of the wedding date. Consultation with our parish priest is essential in determining the form, time and nature of appropriate marriage preparation.
The Sacrament of Anointing is always available upon request but is celebrated at least once a year in a parish celebration of the Mass. Even though February 11 is designated as World Day of the Sick and so would make an appropriate time for this sacrament to be celebrated in the parish, due to winter weather our parish has moved this communal celebration to the month of May. Please consult the parish office for the exact date.
