We are a Roman Catholic Community desiring to be God's light in the world by our witness, love and worship.

Welcome to our Parish Website

"In your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be ready to make your defence to anyone who demands from you an account of the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and reverence.* (1 Peter 3:15-16).

The Lenten season is upon us; how will you grow closer to God in these 40 days before Easter?

Lent is not only about "giving up" but rather to loosen our grip on people, things and circumstances. In order to be freed from undue attachments, ask yourself:

1. What or whom must I have in order to feel happy?
2. What possessions do I cling to and pursue?
3. What unhealthy habits do I resist changing?

During this Lent, choose something each day that you let go of (your morning coffee, your favourite parking spot, your place in the pew) while also choosing to add something that expresses a new commitment to grow in love and compassion towards others.

Lent is also a time to grow in mindfullness of those who are less fortunate than ourselves. Visit the Share Lent section of the Development & Peace website for ideas: www.devp.org/sharelent Follow the daily suggestions on the Lifestyles Calendar. This year's theme is: HELP A JUST WORLD TO TAKE ROOT -- Cultivate the ties that bind us to the earth and to each other.
